Most of the time you can launch anywhere on the lake and start fishing at a specific time and stop at a specific time. The weighin will be at LFM.

This is our first time to fish Bass Champs. Do they do a boat inspection and if so do we need to take it to registration or how does that work?

You've already got conflicting information on here. Call Bass Champs and get it straight from the horse's mouth. This way you know it's accurate.

They always have something official at registration but I can tell you they have trailered at Fork 100% of the time. Just no way to launch 250 boats from LFM. And because of this, there is not typically a boat inspection but there is obviously a polygraph.

I was worried about the logistics of 250+ boats launching out of LFM as well. I've only fished one Basschamps event in the past and it was at Ray Bob. I will say this though, Basschamps runs a hell of a tournament, so regardless of trailering or not, I'm confident that champs will get it right.

Here is a direct response to an email I sent today to David Bushland with Bass Champs asking if this is a trailering tournament.

"A decision has not been made yet. We are sking that all anglers check in Friday night to get boat numbers and get information regarding the tourney though.

Thanks,
David"

More like 325 boats. I bet it's gonna be great turnouts this year!

Most tournaments dont announce trailering until right before the event. I guess it slows down the cheaters.
