handle problem with veritas rod

Has anyone else had a problem with the abu Garcia veritas rods handle right under the reel seat wearing and making it really sticky? Not sure if it was maybe something I had on my hands or just what happens when used a lot. Maybe just time for a new rod lol

Got six of them,,,, series 1 & 2
No issues period

Had mine almost 2 years with no problem. Maybe you just got something on it.
