48-52 is money if you know how to fish the lake.

Well maybe I'll paint you some special jerkbaits and you can show me how to fish the lake. Since you said that I might have to rethink the location I had planned on fishing and go to Hollingshead creek.

Went exploring today. First time in wolf creek. Water temps were 50-51
Sandy branch was 49-51. Found a couple of shallower spots that read 54.
So how do you fish the lake?

I was thinking of heading out there this weekend one day. I haven't been since just before it was closed down. Never fish it this time of the year but hear it's TOUGH...

I went out Wednesday and spent 7 hours in Lick and Walnut creeks. Jerk baits around the walnut bridge, football jigs and c-rigs in deeper timber, flipped bushes, and c-rigs all over, and never got a single damned bite. Brutal. Water was 48 degrees in those areas.
ETA: When I was leaving I spoke to a gentleman who said a couple weeks ago he caught three fish on a 30 foot deep main lake point with an a-rig, and 2 of the 3 fish were tens. He also said he could only get bit at midday. He was a good guy and didn't seem like the type to tell outrageous fish stories, so I took his word for it.
