Is something wrong with your hull now?

No...nothing at all.

I spend a lot of time on lake Palestine...

I just know how hard Palestine can be on boats...Kickapoo, Flat, and up the river can be brutal on boats.

Only con would be if the bottom isn't as Strait as before.those things are solid.Palestine punched my hull once and I had one put on my beater boat at Lake fork fiberglass.

I have the Gorilla Hull from Toledo Fiberglass. Truth is it only adds 34-38lbs to the boat. It slowed mine down 1.5 mph, BUT, I have never adjusted my JP to see if I can pick that back up. It rides just as good and actually has more lift than it did, and the hole shot is the same.
So far I am very pleased, and was told to bring it back if I wasn't satisfied with the performance of the boat. 198 Champion 225 XS.

I wouldn't put one on unless I had a hole in mine.

Ive heard of some that had a hard time selling their boat because of it having one on it. It wouldn't stop me from buying but some think the boat must have been abused.

I got one after hull damage and it was great! It was an old boat and a true warrior after that. As far as just putting one on as prevention-not so sure.
I guess if you were not selling your boat for many years then fine. Otherwise boat value might be a concern as said.

Like others have said dont waste your money till you actually need one. For whatever reason when you try to sale the boat people freak out when they hear there is a gorilla hull on the boat. When really the hull is stronger then before and likely will last forever.

If you are planning to keep the boat for several years and want a no worry hull with a TRUE lifetime warranty that transfers with sale, then go for it. If you trade boats every 2 years then I would not. After having my Skeeter in the shop for the 3rd time to fix damage caused while only idling over a stump & trolling on top of a submerged pipe I had the Gator Hull installed. I was a little skeptical but have had it long enough to test it & love the product. Not long ago I trolled on top of some submerged Tpost that would have sent me back to the shop but it didn't even scratch the Gator Hull. So I know for sure it has already saved me 1 insurance claim and time in the shop. The boat also seems to ride & handle better now. You might lose a few mph on top end? Great for fishing lakes like Ray Roberts, Fork, Palestine & Toledo Bend. IF you ever do any damage to the Gator hull, he will fix it for free, can't beat that! And they do repair the original hull before ever applying the new hull so there should be no concerns there. So from an actual Gator Hull boat owner, I would buy again & recommend it to anyone interested in having a stronger no worry fishing platform.
