Lowrance HDS updating questions

I bought my first bass boat about a year ago and it has an HDS 7 & 10 both Gen 1s and have no idea how to update or even check to see if an update is needed or for that matter I don't know anything about the whole downloading updates process works. Any info on any of this is greatly appreciated.

Go to www.lowrance.com
Click on SUPPORT
Click VIEW ALL UPDATES
Scroll down and find your unit in the list of items

Looks like the latest update is the 4.1 software.

You will need to download the update then transfer it to an SD card. You will then put the SD card into the graph while it's OFF then turn it on. It will automatically update itself.
