The Ugliest Bass I've Ever Caught

I caught this thing today on a jerk bait. I think he bit my lure hoping to get put out of his misery
He seemed to be almost dead. He felt like a leaf or somethin on my lure when I reeled it in and he barely moved his tail a little while I took the hook out.

I agree.....rode hard and put up wet too many times. Be curious to see what was in his stomach..(like maybe some plastics).

Yep. Looks like it's suffering. Did you let it go? I doubt it's gonna make it long. Like above, probably has intestinal issues from a swallowed plastic.

Yes I turned it loose. I wanted to keep it to fillet it to see what's inside of it but it was about 15 inches long. I caught it at Conroe

Those Academy lures only catch ugly fish!

It must be something about Conroe!
In October I was fishing the dam and set the hook on dead weight and it never fought pulled it up it was about a 2lb-er and it never shook or flinched and I released her and she went belly up until I moved to another spot. Which was about 15 minutes. She didn't make it. Not sure why it died.

Too much poison in the water to kill the grass at Conroe.

That is pretty nasty looking I had one hit a 12 inch power worm the first of this year it was just over 26 inches barley weighted six pounds. If someone on here will tell me how to up load photos with my phone I will do so.

Could be caused by eating dis-guarded plastic baits.
