That's getting off easy. I've seen black females cost over $5000.

I hope they find it. Those things are beautiful.

That bird is probably worth a pretty penny... I showed that home when it was for sale a couple of times and it was very protective of the pond to say the least!

I know this may sound cruel but I had a large pond on my property when I lived in east Texas. I watched a rather large eagle circling overhead one day then suddenly swoop down and fly off with one of my wife's pet geese. Actually grabbed it by the neck and that was the last we saw of it.

That's sad. My wife and I looked at that house when it was for sale....And that swan was awesome....and protective of the place for sure.

I want to thank everyone for reading or responding to the post. I'll admit the response about whether the swan was missing before or after Thanksgiving was humorous.

Here is a quick fishing tip for Fork: Inexpensive Cotton Cordell hammered silver finish spoon from Walmart dropped into the big schools of sand bass and bar fish have produced some chunky largemouth. It seems if you let the spoon drop all the way to the bottom and lift it just off the bottom, that's when they hit.
