Tackle shows for 2016? - 12/16/15 04:03 PM

Are there any good tackle shows coming up next year? Ive heard that the one they have been doing in Mesquite is disbanding. Is this true? They usually happen around my birthday and the wife actually likes to go with me but I cant find any info online for any big tackle shows coming up?

Ok I might have to settle for the fun and sun. Tulsa is a bit of a drive just to jack around for my birthday. Was just hoping there was going to be a bigger local one like the Mesquite one was. I want the wife to keep "enjoying" them so I can get to do this every year smile lol.

What's the date for the Fun and Sun. My wife enjoyed the one we went to last year, got to visit with Kelly Jordan and Todd Faircloth. Both of us had a good time, plus didn't haveta make that drive to Dallas (Mesquite).

The Fun-N-Sun show is always good. Also, there will be an Expo associated with Bassfest on Texoma in June that should be outstanding.

Yes its gonna be an even bigger show this Jan 15-17 in our Hurst store. We have about 40 vendors already signed up, and have just secured a major talent that Monte will be announcing shortly. You are not gonna want to miss this!! As always we will be giving 15% off of basically all tackle, plus some great live music most of the day on Saturday. I'm gonna even try to get some of my fellow musicians to stop by so it could get real interesting....

If I still lived in Texas.....the BEST "tackle show" I'd go to is the Bassmaster's Classic, on Grand Lake of the Cherokees. These shows are AWESOME. If you've never attended one.....you must....mark it off your bucket list.....

We should have a fun show this year! There is a post in the plugs and announcement but just a quick list of what is going on is this:
T-Roy Broussard as seen on Swamp people
AOY Aaron Martens, Justin Lucas, Tommy Martin, Todd Faircloth, Chris Zaldain, James Elam, Cody Bird, Ray Hanselman, Brian Clark.
We will also have local Texas music artist Randy Brown and the RC Trio band Saturday afternoon.
Lots of tackle vendors, good food and much more. We hope you all come out and enjoy the show!

Lol actually we are all best friends and spends a lot of time hanging out, but both BC and I know that with everything we both do promoting each others business, plus our charity events, boat shows and tourney circuits we both do- we are gonna share dates occasionally. Our thinking was that we will inconvience less people from East Texas that might drive over than we would from our DFW market area if we put it on a date that competed with a conflict locally. I know it sucks, and we apologize. Just hard to make everyone happy, but we try.
Thanks

Boat and tackle show. Rumor has it that the hope is for anglers to walk in grab a bag and have it filled with stuff from the vendors at no charge.

Looking forward to the Fun N Sun show! Is Tritonman cooking some BBQ this year? That man can cook some dang good food!!! Glad to see there is still a show in DFW for folks to attend! The Mesquite show quite frankly sucked last year, and I was wishing I hadnt wasted the money for all 3 of my family to attend.

Can't say I would go that far.....been called a lot of things but never a porn star.....I would be the first one in history to have to pay to get people to watch me..... roflmao

Reality is its a chance to fish again with a really good friend and old tournament partner as well as get to fish some lakes outside my comfort zone. Actually some really great lakes in Rayburn and TB. This game is supposed to be about having fun, making memories and enjoying the time the good Lord gives us on the water. cheers

BTW Jeff Merry Christmas to you and yours. Look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks.

Looks like production is in full gear Brad! I am really looking forward to this show, as I do every year. I will have my biggest selection to-date, a few new products (including The Lunker Thumper), and I will be giving away more than I have in past years. Last year, we gave away two guided fishing trips and a gift certificate. I'm not going to spill all the beans just yet, but we will have one drawing for a day of fishing on Lake Fork that includes a free night's stay, breakfast and lunch!
