Sad news here. Had the pleasure to set up a benefit tourney with Bryan and Chris a few years back and you would not find a nicer guy than Bryan, he went above and beyond and was an amazing guy. He will be missed for sure. RIP Sir.

I have had the distinct honor of calling Brian Davis, my friend. He is also my neighbor and a great role model to my son, Paden Matlock. As well as all the young men who live in our neighborhood.

I fished with him, and I partied with him and he watched over my home and kids when work called me away.

I'm not really sure I ever told him how much I appreciated him.

Go with God, brother. I'll see you on the other side.

I worked with the Davis family and BLT back in the beginning. VERY good folks and a close family. My heart breaks for Charlie and his family right now. Bryan was a damn good guy and I am glad I got the chance to get to know him. It is truly a loss to our fishing community but nothing like it is to the Davis family. This just plain sucks.

He and another guy was fishing on Cedar Creek on a small boat. Got caught in some current and somehow the boat capsized. He was unable to get his life jacket buckled and went down. Very sad news. Prayers for the family
