Hawkins has been pretty tough all year. Actually its been real tough.

Holbrook is fishing fairly tough this week from reports of locals I know fishing it.

If it were me I would hit Welsh or Monti. Maybe even Lone Star

We had decent luck on hawkins two weeks ago... Poured rain but we caught some fish.

Traps and flukes.

I caught a giant pickeral thing on a deps 185 glide bait and had a few big followers on it (bass not pike things).

Holbrook. I love that lake. We caught them good at Winnsboro a couple weeks ago.. Skip a wacky senko as far under the docks as you can..

So would you go to Winnsboro over Holbrook? Is Winnsboro easy to run?

I go straight across the damn to the opposite side, close to the damn and run tight to the docks on the east side of the lake. Lots of stumps, be careful.
