Fishing Toledo Bend Tuesday - 10/31/15 09:16 PM
I've never fished the south end of the Bend so I'm looking for some pointers on a good marina and where to look for lunkers this time of year. Thanks for any help!

Fin & Feather is as good a marina as you will find. Nice rooms and reasonably priced. Good folks running it and a good restaurant. As far as fishing, Housen creek had a ton a grass in it earlier this spring but I haven't been back since. While we were there a lot of big fish came out of the grass. Six mile creek is close also. If your thinking about a guide, Darold Gleason is as good as it gets. He is South Toledo Bend Guide Service. Hope this helps a little.

Housen still has grass. Our big fish came right in front of Cypress. The furthest end of the flat where it drops to 30+ fow. XD 8 in a natural shad. You will be sitting right on the boat lane. Scan that ledge and you will find some lay downs in about 20 fow. Mid day bite was good there.
