Lake Fork after recent rains?

How did the rain last weekend affect the bass at Lake Fork?

Are they moving up to shallow water, or in deeper water on main lake points?

Appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks

It got them wet. They are shallow. They are deep. Pick your poison . It is a Baby feast. You can catch 3 or 4 at a time on a A rig that are 8 to 10 inches long.

Rains didn't seem to affect them much. Water didn't even get muddy.
But the fronts seem to be affecting them more than usual this year. Even the tiny fish seem to be affected by even the mildest fronts.
They bit a lot better on Tuesday's west wind than they did on Monday and Wednesday's north wind.

Any reports from Fork today? They held a charity tournament this AM and I was wondering how the overnight rain might have affected the fishing.

I fished the benefit tournament today on Fork. I caught a handful of slot fish ranging from 16.25" to 22". We weighed in a 5 bag limit of under slot fish at a whopping 2.99lbs. We caught tons of dinkers on Crankbaits ranging from 3' to 10' of water. We ran into countless schools of them. We also caught a few dinks on plastics in the flooded cover and standing timber around flooded cover. The slot fish came first thing during the rain this morning on a frog in the small coves around docks with newly flooded grass around them and in flooded grass in and around the small coves. The slots were definitely on the hunt this morning in all the flooded grass and they all put up fun fights after swarming the ole frog.

It's muddy now and all of the creeks are swollen with very brown water.

that's what we found yesterday, at least in the backs of coves. nothing but dinks for us. the inland fisheries data collector said he hadn't heard of any over 3 lbs yesterday evening when we came in.
