My long time fishing buddy is battling cancer

Just got word a few weeks ago that my good friend Eddie is battling cancer. He has taught me no telling how many things about bass fishing, and many many good stories I could listen to for days. Please check out this site and help a fellow fisherman. https://www.go fund me.com/636gckrc

TFF will not allow a go fund me link unfortunately. We are having the same issue with our Benefit tournament. Take out the spaces and it should work. Thoughts and prayers for Eddie.

Did your friend Eddie come from West Texas area? I fished against and talked to a gentleman back in the 80's-90's on Lake Spence at Robert Lee. We visited many times and he was a stick on that lake. We called him, Too-Tall-Eddie and he looks very familiar. Do you have his last name? My friend's name was Isabel (spelling).

My prayers are with him, that God will find a way to heal that cancer.

Yup that's him Eddie isbell, we lived in sterling city back in the 80s and fished Spence often, really good guy

Just tell Eddie I was the teacher/coach from Odessa that fished in shorts; rain, shine, sleet and snow. I hope he remembers me. I couldn't afford to go very much so if it was Lake Spence, I always stopped by and discussed what I should be doing to catch them and he was always there to help me. I am proud to consider him a friend.

Yeah that's the pic of the 12lbs. 4oz. Please note that fish wAs caught in September. In the spring time that fish would have been pushing 15 lbs. would be the Lake Record at Stamford, Tx but the memory card that was used to certify the fish was " lost". Later on we learned that the guys son was the current record holder at 12lbs 2 oz. I guess he didn't think he was ready to pass the title on to the "rightful successor". It's ok because we know who should hold the crown.

Later on that year in the dead of winter with ice on the water dad caught a 13lbs. 5 oz. in a kayak. No one else on the lake, and no one at the marina my dad weighed it on his portable scales and released it so it could be caught again.
