Squaw Creek Today... - 10/02/15 11:17 PM
Had a really fun day with 'Whatsaweighin' on Squaw Creek today. Fine young fella, pretty weather, nice rig and fish were co-operating!
Water was warm, but neither of the reactors were running so, I guess from what I was told, a little cooler than usual.
Temp ranged from 84 to 89 degrees.
Fished up in the creek, lower then on the lake, did especially well on 'Fish Killers' secret spot.....
Hugh caught 8 or 9, 3 of which being 3/4 lbs and several just under that. All over the lake....biting from shallow to deep.
I caught 2 were just under 3 lbs, a couple more just less than that and then some 'links'.
Man, not me but Hugh caught a HUGE Talapeiah (sp), both hands together would be a good guide on how big that thing was! But, it was just the one...as we were looking in many places all over the lake for larger BB.
I know it was not a 'good' day for a tournament fisherman but, this old guy had good company and a good time
Tournament there tomorrow, for a Friday there were about 15 boats on the water and I was told normally there are less than that, but more than a few were there pre-fishing for the tournament.
I got to see a LOT of 'secret spots'.... , only problem....my memory is only good for about 4 hours....LOL, so everything is more than safe....
Thanks all...ya'll go fishing...even being a hot water lake, they ARE biting there. You'll have a good time.
God Bless
