Lake O'Pines - 09/29/15 09:35 PM

Moved here last year and finally got into a boat and will be fishing it the first time in a week and a half. Got a buddy coming up and we will be fishing north of the bridge. Any suggestions on what is happening with lures they are biting? Will fish a frog and spinnerbait for sure. I know its going to be cooling down a bunch between now and then. Will be my first time on this lake.

LOP is a big place, and can be fickle about giving up her green jewels. Lately, I have been fishing worms & flukes up shallow with good success. Spinner baits are producing, too.

Its a beautiful lake. You're a lucky man to live there. It is a great fishery.

Burn some rattle traps and some spinner baits in 5-10 ft of water near creek channels and I bet you will put a few in the boat. They should be getting into their fall feeding patterns with the cooler water temps.
