I caught some in 30' of water as well as 2' of water. I am not a fan of the Alabama rig but I gave it a shot.

Never seen an A/rig thrown on a spinning set up, looked like a pretty stiff one though...

Are you using a baitcast rod with a spinning reel? If so, you should use a spinning rod with the spinning reel. You can cast a lot further as the line will not bind up on the small eyes. I agree never seen an arig on a spinning reel. Also may try a 5:1 bb1 on a long hvy bait casting rod, it won't give you crank bait shoulders. I'm not a fan of the a rig but will throw one every once in a while. Good fishing to you bud

I do agree, but I did buy a bb1 for throwning rigs like that... I got into throwing cranks and a rigs and bought myself a bb1 to save of myself fatigue. Most money I've ever spent on a reel the bb1. Changed my life lol

I don't think it is guy, most spinning rods have bigger eyes and don't have a finger grip on top of the rod. Also guides closer to the reel. I could be wrong and hate to judge but people will judge videos posted on the forum. But hey whatever works for you

Good video but I agree that is a casting rod. While you proved it works a spinning rod would be more comfortable and cast better.

If the rod and reel catches fish its good enough for me.
