Looks nice, but is it bringing anything better to the jackplate world than is already out there except the SeaStar name?

It isn't a new gadget... just a new name entering the market... hmmm sure looks pretty though!

thats bull $hit the actuator is made by parker solenoids just like atlas.....which is junk..... so many failures..... mine has failed twice on a 2 year old boat

#1 question: What does it cost? Looks cool but I wouldn't pay a premium for it. Unlike sishaneus above I have had years of trouble free service from Atlas and cant remember ever thinking a slow jack plate was holding me back. Did I mention that it looks cool though? :-)

I have not got the price for the new technology. "Patents pending" as I was told at the Basscat dealer meeting. However the standard series shown in the video is the same price as atlas.I am a fan of bobs machine shop, but majority of companies do not rig from factory with them.
