Who knows. The only clues are it was a young elite pro who did not make the cut after day two at Kentucky Lake.

I think its funny that he complains about that when Shultz, Hite, Montgomery, and Duckett were bumping rub rails on one school.

I think he's right though. Those other guys were fishing a SCHOOL. This deal he was talking about was a very specific small area thing, like a 10' wide area thing. No one owns any water and we talk about this all the time on Fork, etc. Monticello is actually worse for this for me than even Fork and we aren't even talking a tournament out there.

For whatever reason, like Hackney said, I've noticed this more in this last season than any season before. People seem not to care about just coming right up on you whether you are catching them or not. The stuff I witnessed in the TTT on Ray Roberts earlier this year was amazing and quite sad and it continued the next week at Champs. I don't have a big temper so we tended to just blow it off but I can tell you that there was ZERO regard for the 25 yard rule in either of those tourneys and I can't count how many times someone would idle quickly to get 50 yards in front of us then point their boat at a 90 degree angle to the bank essentially cutting us off completely. It got so bad one day in Wolf that we just left.

I'm also not sure if this is even something that can be "fixed". I literally think they only way this is ever going to change is if people start protesting guys for breaking the 25 or 50 yard rule or whatever the rule is in the Elites and I don't see that ever happening. I've never heard of anyone protesting for that rule. I think it seems to be taboo.

I think Kentucky Lake is pretty unique where there are some community ledges where everyone just expects to rub rails and there are other isolated spots like Hackney where typical rules and etiquette apply.

Sounds like Day 1 the angler shouldn't have moved in like that. However, I have a problem with the unspoken rules that if someone is higher in results then anyone lower has to give up their spot. You get drawn and then flip day 2. If you both found spot in practice on own, then whoever gets there first should be able to fish. Day 3 you will be released on weight anyway and that's where I understand some etiquette where you are in results.

I think there are anglers that will agree to share water before the event starts.

If I'm in 90th place and Hackney is in the top 20 (or whatever), I'm gonna give way to him. A little bit of courtesy goes a long way.

It's the same in NASCAR, you hear drivers complain about a car 3 laps down racing cars on the lead lap hard. Yeah, they are out there to race, but having no chance to win and causing wrecks is not the right thing to do.

It isn't always black and white, but keep in mind if 2 people find a single boat spot in practice, then the reason for flipping draws is to give you at least one day on the spot. You each get your day and THEN whoever has the most weight if either of you made day 3 will get on it.

If you are in 90th place and have no chance making it whatever you do, then I agree leave any contenders water alone if they want it.
