However, I have a problem with the unspoken rules that if someone is higher in results then anyone lower has to give up their spot. You get drawn and then flip day 2. If you both found spot in practice on own, then whoever gets there first should be able to fish. Day 3 you will be released on weight anyway and that's where I understand some etiquette where you are in results.
If I'm in 90th place and Hackney is in the top 20 (or whatever), I'm gonna give way to him. A little bit of courtesy goes a long way.
It's the same in NASCAR, you hear drivers complain about a car 3 laps down racing cars on the lead lap hard. Yeah, they are out there to race, but having no chance to win and causing wrecks is not the right thing to do.
