Looking for somewhere to fish out of a Jon boat around the Denison area. I'm new to the forum thought I'd see what you guys could come up with.

You can go a little bit east to Lake Bonham.

Marinas on Texoma are a good option when the water level comes down. There used to be good fishing in Waterloo lake...not sure if you can launch a boat there.

Waterloo has great bass but not sure how it's fishing with the flooding. It's trolling motor only. Loy lake is close too and trolling only as well. Waterloo has hard bottom only a little vegetation, and loy lake is shallow and packed full of grass, lily pads and mats. Good fish in both, hope this helps welcome to denison

At Crockett, flip the deeper grass mixed with pads in 7' on the east side. Black and blue craw. Got about 30 that way 2 weeks ago. All slots though.

You pitching with heavy weight? We were using 1/8 and 1/16th over the pads. I threw black blue chigger craws and 10 in powerworm. Like I said not much luck on that day.
