Falcon Rods Sold?

I had a smaller Falcon dealer tell me that Falcon was bought out by Daiwa. Can anyone confirm or elaborate on this?

That's a pretty big event to happen so quietly. . .

I have not heard anything. I fish daiwa on my boat and wasnt very happy with the new reels or rods. I fish a Falcon med/Popper for my baitcast rod.

I called. We are a dealer and falcon said no. They're still Falcon Rods.

I talked to a friend very high up on the Daiwa corporate ladder and he said this story is absolutely false.



I think you should tell that "dealer" to stop spreading false rumors.


Daiwa has become the U.S. distributor for Evergreen which is a high end JDM bait company. They have rods but from what I know Daiwa will only handle baits. This goes live in September.

I was hoping this was not the case. Just wanted to ask on here. I figured there would be some guys on here with the connections to find out what was happening. Thanks for the replies.
