How much would it cost to fish the flw tour? - 07/06/15 11:31 AM

I have been wondering what kinda serious coin it would cost to fish all of the events, gas, hotel and entries?

Entry $25,800 for 6 events, Buy a truck camper stay in state parks probably $3,500.
Fuel $12,000 depending on practice and distance you run per day. Food what it cost you now, you got to eat. Brake equipment, repairs to boat add 15 grand might cover the cost. So to be safe to say it would cost in the neighborhood of about.

$57,000 give or take a few grand

PM James Biggs here on TFF and he can give you an actual cost as he is fishing the tour. Tom Redington as well.

If you don't pre practice & are cheap like me, you can fish for $40,000-43,000. You will have to cut 4 checks in 6 events against the best in the world on lakes you don't know to break even. Keep that in mind. Odds are not in the new touring anglers favor. That being said if it's your dream to try it if go for it. I really like the staff at FLW.

Don't you have to be invited first? You can't just join the pro division , win in the rayovac division then they invite you into pro tour, I know in bass masters it's 8 events for 48,000$

You have to qualify - top 10 from each Rayovac Series or top 10 co-angler in the Tour. Not sure about BFL.

To my knowledge if you have the money you can fish flw. There's a 20yr old on trail for the last 2 years.

No, the question was "can you just start fishing the tour?" You have to qualify to receive an invite.

You do not have to qualify to fish flw. They take the first priority field. Then the next day they take ranger cup owners. Then later they take the rest until it's 150 boats. You also have to fish every event.

Re: How much would it cost to fish the flw tour? - 07/07/15 04:24 AM

The FLW rules state that the top 100 anglers from the tour plus the top 10 from each rayovac division plus the top 10 tour co-anglers are invited. I'm sure some guys don't accept, leaving a few spots open for others who know the right people, but it's not like you can just sign up and start fishing as a pro..

Yes, you can, after they send out the invitations, there are spots left.

Yes you can. Read rule 2. Under pro entry. Owning a ranger helps the odds. And call at 8:01 with your credit card info ready.

They lost 12 guys from the 3rd to 6th events. Lots of people playing with house money and need a check to keep going.

Flw caters towards Ranger. Might keep that in mind.
