I I was there when it was coming up, caught a bunch of fish flipping into flooded salt cedars in about 4 foot. That was a month ago but I'll bet that you could still catch them there.
Black blue flake a and blue fleck baits, peg your weight.

Fishing pretty tough. Stillwaters was there Saturday, 4 something pounds got a check. Didn't hear the winning weight. What was being caught was from flipping the deeper edge of the bushes. Zillions of bushes in the water, mostly turning brown.

A friend of mine said all he's been catching lately at Brownwood are drum. He said they're hitting everything he throws!
Thanks guys !!! Didn't know if the fish would be deep or in all the bushes .

Brownwood is probably the only lake I have never whacked them on a DD22 at least once on. I have fished there a bunch and I'll bet I've never caught a fish over 10Ft. And I have tried many times.

There is a hump out in about 25fow that we used to crappie fish all the time and it always held fish. Sometimes we'd get a bass here and there. I saw my uncle catch an 8lber off of that hump on a crappie jig one morning. . .
A 25' hump is what I'm talking about . The heck with flipping bushes .. Lol thanks guys for the info.

Our club fishes there in two weeks. Hopefully fishing picks back up.
