Have never fished one.

Is there a certain technique to fishing a swim jig? Throw and retrieve? Hop?

What is a good brand of swim jigs to get?

Swim jig is my confidence bait. My favorite is to throw it in/around/over grass and just slow roll it with your favorite swim bait trailer on it. My go to brand for swim jig is santone.

Think of the way baitfish move. Mimic that on your retrieve. hard to beat Santone jigs.

I use the new Stanley swimjigs. The new hook is mean. 2 types of swimjigs. Either replicate baitfish or perch. Or get a reaction strike. Nothing like a 3/4oz swim jig on a flipping stick reeled as fast as you can in slop.

Slow retrieve with random twitches swimming them through grass would be my standard retrieve.

Swim jigs are also great for flipping cover, and I've caught fish just gently hopping/gliding them off the bottom in 25fow while drifting with the current. Very versatile and weedless head design.

I'm liking the M Pack swim jigs. Slow steady retrieve with a LFT Magic Shad trailer.
