Fishing rising/muddy water

Nothing else to do today so I guess I'll go try to catch a few fish. The problem being the lakes here have come up over pool the past couple of days. How would you guys fish the muddy, brushy, high water?

Black 12" worm as far back as you can get.

Shallow:
Agree with dark colored worms
buzzing and popping topwaters
chatterbaits and spinnerbaits
dark colored creatures on a light crig

I'd also drive out deep to see if I could find any numbers that have already transitioned and held deeper--those fish in particular may be less affected by the rising water. Deep cranks, spoons, and drop shot are what I'd try first.

Swallow, as far back as you can get, at the edge of current on banks facing the Sun.

Bass will be scattered in the heaviest cover you can find. You will have to fish a lot of it to find them. They will be grouped up in those spots when you do. The spinner bait or wake bait is good for searching. When you find them slow down and go to work with the Pumpkin Seed Power worm on a 1/4 oz. T-Rig.

Many of your Big Bass will be on the old line of vegetation. If your lake came up say 5 feet they will be still holding on that outer edge in 5 ft. of water. If it came up 10 ft. that is where I would look for the big ones. Try to fish parallel with this line or contour using a light C-rig with senkos or ringed Tornado type baits.

Spinnerbaits & Crankbaits,..follow up with brushhog/senkos....drop shot

Dont hesitate to fish the new muddy grass filled water. Those bass will know the floods brought in drowned bugs, mice, etc. If the water is calm id say a topwater would be good, if not since its muddy id throw a spinnerbait for sure and when you find a group of bass in a naked patch of newly risen water (as this frequently happens) tie on a soft plastic of some type. My biggest advice for newly risen water is to fish it while the grass is still there. Fish will capitalize on the shallow cover. The whole notion of waiting a few days or even weeks for the water to clear up is as bad as leaving fish to find fish in my mind.
