I'm going to be headed to Hot Springs Arkansas for vacation in late June and was thinking about taking the boat with me. Was wondering if anyone has fished that area and could shoot me some tips or pointers on a decent lake to fish. Just a shot in the dark. Thanks.

Man, I can't believe over 150 people have viewed this post and not responded. We just got back from vacation where we spent three days on Lake Ouachita. Clear water, beautiful surroundings, BIG lake. Just below Hot Springs is Lake Hamilton. To the southwest of is Lake DeGray. Going northeast there are several smaller lakes.

I'm pretty sure I asked if anyone has fished that area. I think that's a question. Then I asked if someone could give some advice on a decent lake to fish while up there. Again, I think that is also a question. But thanks for your input
Go to Ouachita, you won't regret it. Most beautiful lake around, JMO... Like mentioned, big lake. Hamilton can get crazy after 10am during summer. Jet fleas aplenty.
