Motormate Locking Systems

Motormate Locking Systems - 05/04/15 07:06 PM

I was just saw these on Tackle Warehouse's site. I have been using the brace from the lower unit to the roller on the trialer that came with my boat. Looks like the motor turned a little bit and the square tube is cracking. This is only the second time I've taking it to the lake. Looking for something stronger/better. Is anyone using these? What do you think?

take a look at the Prorule transom saver. It's a great product and it's made locally!

I got one last year because my square tubing broke, like yours is about to do, and I love it. Like Chris G. said above: "Very fast and easy to use."

Motormate is a quality product. Can't go wrong with it.

I love mine for sure. Motor does not vibrate at all.

Is the stress on the transom the same when using a motor mate as compared to a transom saver? I hear it both ways, more stress, less stress.

Before this gets going too far let me say a transom gets more pressure in the water than it does on your trailer.

This from a guy who uses the standard transom saver.

Get you some of the steering clips or what ever they are called to keep the motor from turning going down the road

No need for steering clips with the Motor Mate

Pay once, cry once. Not the cheapest option, but I'll bet they last a long time. Love mine. Prep to launch time is lowered with one vs some of the other options.

Thanks for all the responces guys. I wanted to hear some thoughts on these before I spent the money for one. Got one ordered. Thanks again!

Exactly. I use a lock n stow because I have less movement of the motor while trailering than with the one that expends from the lower unit to the trailer. If I were in the market for one now, I would go with the Motormate. I like the design better than the Lock N Stow.

I have a motormate and like it a lot more than the standard transom saver.

I don't see the Yammy 300 listed. Anyone know if you can use the same one for the two stroke 250?

Motor mate all the way. Makes a huge differance over the traditional setups

Call Motormate direct and ask. It ought to be the same as the 250. I have one on my 250XS and love it. Installs in seconds and rock solid.
