Fork water color??

I know Fork has been on the rise. What areas of the lake should I avoid on friday with the rising water. Don't really care to sight fish, but would prefer to be around clean water to work on my swimbait fishing. I was thinking fishing mid lake Mustang/birch maybe down to caney.

They should be in the bushes right now. Color doesn't matter when the lake floods the bushes.

Monday & Tuesday this week from mid lake to the dam the water was only stained at worse except on direct wind swept banks with muddy banks, Not really bad as I expected at all.

Mouth of lil Caney is the best place if you wanna throw a swimbait! Cleaner wanter and lots of points.

Last Sunday the East side (Big Caney) arm of the lake was a lot more clean than the West side (Lake Fork creek) arm of the lake.

Stained. Almost muddy but not really muddy, just a brown stain even on the main lake

last week end areas of the main lake along big caney, north and south of 515 were almost clear, 2.5 foot visibility. mouths of most feeder creeks in big caney were clearer than the back.

Sounds good in theory but not so much the way it is out there right now.

You will burn some gas if you want to find clear water. Not huge areas of it but some here and there.

Thanks TFF in waiting on Sartin marine to open now. Boat won't crank and can't figure out issue. Thought battery was dead but haven't had luck jumping it

I agree, that theory doesn't always apply at Fork.

If it is turning over but not cranking check your kill switch.
