Dang Bedding Bass - Fustrated the heck out of me

I have to admit, I still had fun. Went down to our little pond and located some bass on the beds. Well I have been using some 6" worms with a bright chartreuse tail and just dropping it in the beds and just wiggling it a litte. They can't stand it and would just suck em up. Well yesterday, they would just suck it up but just the tail. They would start to swim off and I would try and set the hook and would come back with a worm with the tail tore off. I think I lost about 10 worms trying to catch two bass. I guess you could say we have a love / hate relationship right now. Final score: Bass 10 Fisher 0

Are you using the right setup?

Use 3" of the worm

(Hint) Dip the head not tail....

Funny you said that because I did keep breaking off the worm even to the point where the hook was inserted just below the yellow tail tip and that sucker still would pick the tail up and not get the hook. As far as the snagging rig goes, I was at the teeter totter decision place on that.

These worms are not dipped... their tails were poured a bright chartreuse. The bass usually love these worms but right now on the bed, it is just the tail they are picking up. BAD FISH BAD FISH
