I do not have very much experience fishing tournaments but I'm excited about one this weekend. This weekend I am fishing a kayak tournament on Broken bow and I have never fished this lake. We are launching from Hochatown state park (grasshopper ramp). Just wondering what four baits you would have tied on to start with??? Any advice is appreciated.

I just got back from a 2 day trip there. Just found schools of bait back up in creeks and threw a weightless fluke 80% of the time. The rest I caught were all on t-rigged trick worms and a drop shot. Once we found the bait it turned into a numbers game real quick. Caught 9 in an hour in one spot.

Lake was tough yesterday as they are dropping the lake. Use flouro line 10 or 12 line. I would have a fluke, trick worm, texas rigged finesse worm. Fish back of creeks , side of pockets and back of pockets. Thanks Joey foe staying at my cabins. Hope you had a great time and I hope you got your trolling motor fixed.

I got 3rd in tourney yesterday and had big fish. Throw a watermelon/red senko in flooded bushes and a pegged t-rig speed craw in bushes. Drag a split shot rig with a watermelon candy baby brush hog on points. If wind allows, a weightless trickworm, try it t-rig and wacky.

I was thinking a Texas rigged worm and a crawfish on a shakey head. I also thought about a buzz bait over the flooded grass. Thanks so much for the help guys.

It's a good time, good luck! I won it last year.
