12 lb copolymer. Keep a good lure retriever with you for hangups.

I'll use anything from 10 to 20lb line. Was cranking a 10xd today with 20 Invisix.
1.12lb berkley nanofil, love the casting distance.
2. 12 sniper
3. 20 power pro braid with a 5 foot floro leader (8-15lb you pick)

I use 12lb floro. Something to consider with heavy cranks and swimbaits is not to whip the lure like you would a smaller crank bait. Let it load, then wing it out. Loading and then whipping the lure will put too much weight and pressure on lighter line(10 or 12 lb) and you'll break off.

I use 12-20# McCoy's Mean Green copolymer. Great abrasion resistance, low memory and strong as all get out. Bigger # test if I am cranking in timber or stumps. I agree with DEFMP, I throw lob casts with it and not whip it or shoot it out there. Hope this helps.
Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

If you use light line you can also long line if you dont mind the extra work. I use an underhanded throw on the baits because I use 10LB test. If you long line you can use just about any size you want because you are letting out so much line. The bait will get as deep as you want it but make sure your reel is high line capacity for this to work good. You will loose spool speed with this technique. Look into reels like Abu Beast, Lews BB2, Abu Revo and Orra Winch models.

I use 30 pound big game. Can't afford to lose those suckers. On a more serious note I usually have 12- 14 big game.

I don;t like using line any bigger than 12lbs, I can tell I start losing depth after that. I'll either throw it on Big Game or P Line.
