wow congrats to the angler and to think Mississippi's State record is only 18.15 lbs 3 hundreths of an ounce lighter than the Current Texas State record of 18.18 is even more incredible. must be something in the air this year with mississippi's 17lber+ and Louisianan's 14.80 lber ol' mother fork may finally push out an incredible beast 15-16lber+

Wired2fish has gone down hill. Too much football, basketball, and tennis mixed in with fishing stuff. And I also don't think a catch made TWO YEARS AGO is breaking news.

I fished that lake a good bit growing up in NE MS. It's a few hundred acres in size. I knew it had good fish in it, but nothing like that. I think it's time to go home for a visit;).

Vanish is junk and cost me thousands in a tournament. I don't care if you take 100lb test Vanish, tie a simple overhand knot and pull and will take less than 5lbs of pressure to break. No knot strength at all. The makers of the line should be ashamed for even putting it on the shelves. Awesome fish though! A miracle he caught a fish that big and even bigger one on Vanish line.
