tie the main line to the bend of the hook like you would on a spinnerbait and then your leader line to the eye and tie your weight to the end of the leader

Carlos Rivera ----River A tackle sells a better stand out hook than that one if you are looking for that type of hook. His is a drop shot hook with a wire line tie through the eyelet of the hook, a spin hook. It also helps with the twist in your line.

Now this is a strange hook tying system.

Close. You just tie your palomar to the bend in the hook and run the tag end through the eye and connect your sinker. You don't use a separate line for the sinker.

In 2012 custom crankbaits, buzzbaits and dropshot rigs were added to the ever expanding lineup. copied from your webpage......

If my math is correct 2011 is before 2012, invent and make your own stuff, stop copying other peoples work and calling it your own, then saying "we just made it better" after you stole the idea

What does this have to do with the OP inquiry?

Copying another company's product is the norm in fishing. Even the big tackle company's copy the little company's. It's the way this country is headed. It's said but true.

I don't understand what part of "we just made it better" you don't get...maybe "Lo hicemos mejor" is better for you....Lets see....VMC hooks suck...so we swapped em out for Owner hooks and in different hook styles that made this style rig top notch now....Too bad Owner didn't come out with a swivel style rig...Too bad we improved on it here in your backyard. Made in Texas by spanish speaking Texans! God bless.

Well mr. newbee I just offered him another better choice of stand out hook if he is wanting to fish with one. What useful information did you give the OP?

None of your comments have anything to do with the OP question either and you did not offer any positive suggestions to anything.

BTW did you know that a Rebel Wee R and a Bagley square bill came out before a Lucky Craft, a RC, H2O square bill..etc. All copies of something previously on the market.
The Model A automobile has been improved on many times over the years if you haven't noticed. Take your negativity elsewhere. You are not useful here.

How to use it has been explained, when to use it has not. It would be great for fishing smallies or spots where there is not a lot of debris or grass. If you are fishing Fork where there is a lot of stumps and lay downs, I use a Matzuo 1/0 "J" hook so I can T-rig the bait. If you run your tag end back through the hook loop, it will make your hook stand out perpendicular.

Honestly....this is pretty far from the truth. My love for the Owner Rig'N hook, and knowing that other drop shot folks liked it as well, was enough for Carlos to take it to the next level and make one of the best drop shot hooks available today. Believe what you will....carry on.
