Re: Wake bait prototype#3 - 09/04/14 08:38 PM

Here's some key points about these wakebaits that i enjoy..
1...you can walk these baits very easily and keep them in the feeding zone longer!
2...the back and forth twitch action these baits provide is phenomenal...very sensitive to your rod twitch and keeps the bait in the feeding zone.
2...slow or fast retrieve thru a rod sweep motion or just straight reeling gives the angler many different options..

All in all i truly enjoy putting these together and fishing them...Over 7 hours just to build one!

Good video, as always. Noticed your wearing an over shirt...already cool there?
Ok, enough chit/chat... rolfmao So, you like the action of the lure I'm guessing?
Sure looks good from what Carlos has posted. Watched his initial photos and then videos...
You answered one question I had: 1/2oz. That's a good weight...
Keep it coming...
Take care Shipmate...

Carlos that looks great, and to answer your question to papamark. Yes make one in a Crappie pattern, it'd work too!

LOL, chance the 'weekend' crowd....well, the thermocline should be changing...and hope, Lord we're hoping....at least here west of Ft Worth, for a lot of rain....which we didn't do so well with yesterday

Thanks Lee...i tested this particular bait out at a swimming pool and as a twitch bait this thing rocks...the tail flicks water out as it is twitched. The bill is smaller than my other wake before it but if you love the "injured shad" look this one has it....Its still in prototype phase because it's not 100% to my liking aesthetically...
