Big time 'yeppers' on the price range. That list of postings above, some are pretty pricey, by the time you buy six, your going to have spent some sizable cash!
All on here will give you good advice but, not every rod and every reel is right for everyone. There are many different variables, likes and dislikes. Price being only one of them. If you can, get your hands on some of these and try at the lake, fellow angler, friends, etc. Then make your decision....
Good luck, God Bless

I have one of these and like it:
Lew's Hero Speed Stick

Hard to beat it for $69.99. If you buy it now, they are having their 15% off Labor Day sale through Friday, I think. That would bring you in at $357 for the set.

Took some time but I finally have several power tackle rods. Best rod I have ever had in my hands. I have spinning and casting. Bought every one of them on this forum over about a year and a half used.

Re: What are your favorite rod - 09/03/14 12:47 PM

Loomis and Dobyns. Try a Loomis NRX and it is somewhat understandable of the high cost. I think the Dobyns Mike Long jig rod and crankbait rods are hard to beat. These rods are not cheap.

Re: What are your favorite rod - 09/03/14 01:02 PM

I don't spend a lot on rods (as long as you don't get a bad rod, the reel is more important IMO), but my favorite is an original All Star 7' medium that I use for topwaters and drop shot. Very strong with a fast tip.

For the price ($29 at Wmart clearance)---I got five AbuGarcia Vendetta fishing rods (both baitcasting and spinning in a mix of MH and medium)

Tackle Tour Review see link here Abu Garcia Vendetta

For durability--I've got some 20yo MH Ugly stiks that show no signs of breaking down.

I also had a 13 Omen in my hand at Cabeleos and thought it was awesome for the price. As for Power Tackle...thats not a suggestion, thats a committment.

Re: What are your favorite rod - 09/04/14 06:22 AM

The thread not long ago about high dollar rods and diminishing returns came to mind while reading this. I should probably be shot for the collection of rods that I have in my office that aren't being used, many of which are high dollar and I should probably cut loose and get a return on but for some reason just cant bring myself to do. For me I have found that between the 13 Omen and Castaway's I have been able to cover all my needs.

All the rods listed are fine. I have several of what's listed. For inexpensive H20 are great. I've been going middle road price and getting TFO replacement rods recently and really like them.
