For whatever reason I can only read about one paragraph of Barrone's writing but I am glad he's still able to compete and is doing better all the Brauers are great folks.

Prayers sent when we talked to Denny at the Classic he just didn't seem himself.;

Talked to him at the first PTT event at Rayburn. I had no idea. Can't believe he was out competing in that carp and feeling worse than carp. That's one tough dude.

Great read. Thanks for sharing! Denny has always been one of my favorites, I think it's the love of Jig fishing that has always made me look up to him. After reading this, I like him even more! Prayers sent for a full recovery.

Prayers sent. I met Denny at Amistad last year and gave him a ride up the long hill to his truck. He took the time to talk to my son and several friends that were down fishing in Del Rio with us.

fished a BASS pro am with him at rayburn years ago...super guy.....work a brush line about 100 yds all day, flipping, he never quit...he won't now....

Denny is definitely a very respected man wherever he finds himself. Thanks for the thread Fouz. Barone probably carries more of the magazine than lot of folks realize. Hope Denny comes through this.

Fouzman thanks for sharing. Was it me or was that story difficult to follow? Anyway prayers for a great man. Facing death will definitely give you perspective on life.

That's just how Barone writes. Tells several stories at a time. Drives some nuts. I've hung out with db several times. I'm not sure a more gentle soul exists on this earth.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. DB @ the classic in oklahoma two years ago. We showed him the video of me catching my PB fish and while doing my victory dance I sent my partners keys flying into the lake. He laughed every time he watched the video and talked to us for a good while. Awesome guy! Prayers sent

Prayers sent for an awesome guy. I got to meet him at the Classic in Oklahoma, he's a great guy.

I personally have been dealing with pancreatitis for the last year. I am familiar with the procedure he had . He is right pancreatitis is one of the most painful things you can imagine .

Great story.

We have a fishing contest for the largest bass caught at one of our properties and the winner gets to hang with Denny for 2 to 3 days. They will be able to sit in the deer blind with Denny in the morning, and fish with Denny in the afternoon, with all meals and lodging.

Kind of a neat treat for our members.

No kidding. Is the deer blind at JB's Anderson Co. ranch by chance? You see the buck Denny killed there last year?

No Kidding. The fishing and hunting are at Heartland 10/10 Ranch in Marshall. Still working on some of the lakes that you have fished in Athens. Its gonna happen, just takes time and patience.

I had the privilege of fishing with Denny last year in an Everstart tournament on Lake Texoma last year. He's a great angler, and an even nicer person. Get well soon Denny!
