Incredible Day on Lake Fork

Lake Fork Guide Randy Oldfield and his customers Carl and Casey Wilder (from Como and Sulphur Springs) had the kind of day today that we all dream about.

Along with MANY smaller fish, their TEN biggest fish weighed:

When they came in this afternoon just before the storm rolled through, they were all as giddy as school girls.
They probably won't be able to wipe the smiles off their faces for several days!

Here is another bit of information he caught them all over the lake. He told me most of the big fish were caught in different areas of the lake. The big girls moved up all over the lake at the same time.

Boca grips in 15 # model only shows 1/4 # increments so could be any where from .3 to .7 so exact weights are hard to get when fish are bouncing and does it really matter whether the fish weight 8.3578 or 8.6983427 it is still a really nice fish and it is about 8.5 either weight.

I think I would quit fishing after that. Each trip after will just be a letdown. Hats off to an amazing feat and sounds like they all had a blast. Good to see people happy and having fun on the water.

I have read this thread 10x times at least and still can't image having a day like that but I am glad to know it is possible. How lucky am I that I can drive to a lake that it is possible to catch 5 bass weighing over 50lbs. Congrats to all and hope all the guides have a great year. I know I am signing up for at least one 2 day trip but is not until this Fall. Maybe I can squeeze in a couple of half days this summer.
