I seriously have no idea what it weighed. Scale was in my bag back at the cabin. Dwarfed everything else we caught today. Jersey Dan would slap me.

I love me some smallies...always wanted to make a trip up there.

I was speechless! I caught the fish below and thought it was a good one. I am dropshotting with 6lb fluorocarbon and roboworms. Took a few minutes to get in. Largemouth have nothing on smallmouth in the fight department.

A fat 21.5" should go over 6lbs. Might be even bigger, SM are hard to judge. Either way, that is a trophy SM.

Beautiful smallie buddy!

Went after Pike today, caught some dinks then this one. 41". Didn't have a net and had a hell of a time deciding how I was going to get it in the boat. haha. I would stay here until March if I could.

A buddy of mine just got back from Maine where he is an summer instructor at some college. Plenty of off time this summer allowed him to catch over 300 bass and smallies the past two months.

I wouldn't stay up there past next month Cam. Its not pretty when winter sets in up there.

That fish is between 5.5 and 6.24 depending on how fat she was. I miss catching those Canada smallies..

He has the same problem I have. I'm 6'5". I had my picture taken with two fish that weighed 13.37 between them at a tournament weigh-in last week. They looked like four pounders.

I think I'm going to start travelling with a midget so he can hold my fish for me.
