Jacob Brent Hughes, 22, of Center, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at College Station Medical Center. He was born in Nacogdoches on December 21, 1988 to Lance Hughes and Bridget Jackson Hughes. Jacob graduated from Center High School in 2007 and was currently pursuing a degree in Wildlife Ecology Conservation at Texas A&M’s College of Agriculture and Life Science. He was a member of the Wildlife Conservation Club.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Watson and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Center with Bro. Don Murphree officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Shelby County.
Pallbearers will be Clay Ihlo, Koby Youngblood, D.J. Allen, Dean Mize, Jacob Hudspeth, Travis Wallach, Justin French and Ryan Fitzgerald. Honorary pallbearers will be Wil Blackshear, Tyler Patterson, Arjun Atholi and Durrell Harris.
