Id say 5 and a half. Looks about the same as the 5.5 I weighed at grapevine on Wednesday. Nice catch!

Re: Lone Star Bass 7/10/10 (Help Me Estimate Weight) - 07/11/10 04:46 PM

my guess was a little over 5.

i was working a grass line with a Spro Poppin' Frog, i hit the edge of the grass and twitched it once, then BOOM!!!

she exploded on it and the fight was on. luckily, it is not very easy to snap off 65 lb. braid...

speaking of that...

same trip yesterday, a little while before i caught this fish, i was fishing a wacky worm, catching a few here and there...

i go to make a vicious cast, my worm flies off the hook, and, well, i lived up to my screen name on that one. had to get the fingernail clippers...
