saw variation of this on another forum....
Rapala came out in 50's and is only old bait i can think of still in use unchanged...
another would be plastic worm in the 60's and buzzbait in 70's....
Pop R is just a variation of the old Heddon chugger that i remember from late 40's/early 50's....

The Pico Perch has to be one of the oldest baits still in production. I believe the came along in the 1930's. It was one of the first lures that I used as a youngster in the late 60's. Still have a couple as mementos in my grandads old tackle box.

Great memories!

In Line Spinnerbaits... Haven't used one in years but they're still on tackle shops so someone must be buying them... Mepp's, Rooster Tail, Panther Martin's were the the one stock in my area growing up... Dan

Old baits that I still use on occasion are...

Poes RC-1. Killer little square bill. Fork bass would hammer it bouncing off the wood back in the day.
Rebel Super R. 4-8' range that still produces.
Rebel Pop R. Been around forever. Used to kill the bass up in Chalk Creek on Livingston.
Bagley Honey B.
Creme Scallywag 7" worm. Still put these into play and they produce.

I am with Jack. Super R’s are my go to crank bait. Cordell Hot Spots are still good lipless baits. Black and silver Pico Pop was my top water bait.

Can't argue with that!....in fact, Moses himself was actually caught by an Egyptian woman fishing a jig in the reeds..

Baits I still use:

Poe Crankbaits. Cast a mile and have a tight wobble
Cordell Crazy Shad. I have a supply of the older ones
Strike King diamond blade. Still have several. More often I steal the blade and put it on a better built spinnerbait
Doug Hannon snake bait. Still fun to slowly swim across grass and around pads.
Jawtec used to make a great worm with a long split tail. They don't any more but I got my hands on a mold and pour my own. My favorite shaky head plastic.
