Best glue for rubber trailer mats

Thanks in advance ! Rubber step mats continue to come loose - what glue is best to keep this from happening ?

3M urethane. “4240” I think is the part number.

Contact cement glue.
They won't come up after you use it.

Might want to try windshield sealant as I believe that is what I used and was told at the time it is the best for a reason....
