Spawn still on in E. & Central Tx?

Haven't had the boat out since Jan at Falcon. Where are we on hill country and E tx?

Done as far as I can tell. Been all over

I fished in the Gilmer area last weekend in ponds and lakes from 18 - 300 acres and there were very few left on the beds. I was surprised at how fast it seems to have gone this year. There were still a few but very few.

I don't see how the spawn can be totally over by the second week of April. Especially with this crazy weather all spring slowing things down.

Since I can’t fish there ought to be a huge wave of spawners this weekends full moon. 😡 “Over”? Hardly.

I haven't been in almost 2 weeks now but I'm positive they're still spawning on Conroe

Was mainly asking about C Tx. I've caught em in May on Fork for sure on beds. Name your lake if you're still seeing em. Deciding to stay near Austin tomorrow or drive to Fork or Big Sam. Thanks boys!

Don't waste the drive to Fork for sight fishing, not much of that going on... even the guides are fishing other lakes a lot this spring.

We've caught a few spawners the last few weeks on GT. Only one good one so far at 5.5lbs. Missed a couple of others at 4+. Have seen zero beds so we assumed they bedded deeper. Temps have been 58-66 most days. This weekend is our last trip there if we don't find some action. It has been a dink fest.

I haven't seen many shallow fish here in our cove. Usually, when I walk the shoreline this time of year, there are quite a few on beds. It seems to be a weird year for both the bass and crappie spawn.

Hit Decker yesterday and saw a few up shallow but looks like spawn is done. Water temps were around 72 for most of the lake.

Caught 4 or 5 yesterday off beds at cedar creek. Also saw fry in some places.

As of 15 mins ago they are on beds on Whitney, very shallow. Not everywhere, but when you find them you find a bunch of them.

Also lots of small males cruising.

Saw quite a few and mostly aggresive fish on beds at Holbrook yesterday. Seemed about half the lake is done the other half is going strong right now

i haven't seen any big ones and several of my buddies havent seen any good ones either

Still quite a few around Austin. It's mid April, they never spawn all at once. It'll trickle to almost May just gotta know where to look.

Hey Jarrett! I've hurt my back pretty bad late last fall and took my boat out for the first time since the first week of January this past Saturday. You still seeing em on Travis? I've never been on Lake Austin, but may head that way this week. Thanks!

I'm not Jarrett but yes, there are still some on beds on Travis. The lake is dropping fast. Areas I caught them on beds a month ago are now out of water.
