KVD or Ike?

Anyone on this board able to put me in contact with someone in KVD or Ike's circle?

I'm literally looking for their trash... used, bent, fished out hooks to include in canister damascus.

For real though... The technique I'd use in this case would be canister damascus. You put as many hooks as you can get into a can with powdered steel, then forge weld it all into a single piece of steel. You can then use that solid piece in a variety of ways to increase the amount of material. A small handful of hooks would be enough. Any good post-tournament cleanout or pre-tournament crankbait hook change ought to do it.

I’m curious if you are looking for certain brands of hooks to make sure “It Will Kill!”

My traveling partner around 2000 was matched up with Van Dam on Rayburn one day. He was catching fish on deep divers, Strike King and DD22's.
Partner, now a Congressman running for the Senate in Missouri, arrived with stock crankbaits. While they were waiting to go KVD took all his crankbaits and changed the hooks out to triple grips.
