Lake Fork Update - 09/03/19 06:23 PM
Lake Fork surface temps are starting the day around 89-91 degrees, day to day. Level is up a few inches and slightly murky. The Summer to Fall Transition is starting to emerge with many schools of Shad staging at mouths of some coves and main lake points in 5’-14’ of water. Square Bill crank baits in a Shad type pattern/ color have been best for us. This pattern has produced better numbers for us. We’re seeing these Shad, in the aforementioned areas, on the West & East side of lake.
Drop Shot straight tail, red hue worms are still best for any middle of the day, offshore fishing.
Below pic is the better Square Bill Pattern Bass we had yesterday and was his PB. He was using a light Spinning Rod, which made for a mini rodeo...
