I am a Co, havent been on a boat all summer. Been Fishing GV and Joe Pool from the bank, wondering what the current water temps are with this recent heat wave? Last time I was on a boat it was 82-82 this year. Figure its probably up at 90

join a club that is looking for co-anglers, get off the bank and see for yourself.

If its not I am sure it will be by the end of this week. I wouldn't worry too much about it though. Have you ever swam in the lake? The surface temp may be 90 but down by your toes it feels much cooler. I would love to know what the temp is 6' below the surface and further.

Someone go drop a digital temp gauge down and tell us what the temps are from 0 to 30 feet in 5 foot increments out on the mainlake.

Obviously it is not readily available information. But I guarantee you a good pattern could be developed with water stratification temps if you had them.

We use to use a pool thermo for temps. 1-8 feet. Temps dropped around 5 degrees.

Current Travis temp is 85. Lake Austin gets its water from the bottom of Travis. We registered 65 mid-lake on Austin, probably 60 upper end.

You must first determine the thermocline. Only Bob "Porko" Smith has those credentials....Porko, you still out there?
