Help choosing Alabama/umbrella rod

I don’t want to spend a fortune on one as I’m not sure how much I’ll use it, but want a decent one too. I’ve narrowed it down to these. But if someone wants to suggest another in the $125 or less range I’ll gladly consider it too. I have seen others but have not used any by them such as the Skeet Reese rods or Ardent to name a couple.

Dobyns Fury 795SB

Thanks I was leaning toward Dobyns fury but thought the heavy was needed.

The 795 is a great rod. Depending on how heavy the rig is the 805 might be better though

Y’all might get a kick out of this. I was going to order some a rigs when I order the rod. But I’d made some a while back but didn’t turn out so well, probably 3 times heavier than store bought ones. The wife saw me carrying the postal scales to the shop to weigh them. She came out to see what I was doing. Said she thought I might have started selling drugs to pay for my fishing habit. Still don’t know what they weigh. The flap on the box it was in came open and it fell on the driveway. New battery and it still won’t work.

Ouch.

My wife has resigned herself to the fact that I am addicted and just lets me carry on with my vice.

Mine too. For the most part she encourages me to do what I enjoy. She has jokingly put me on “Academy restriction” though... lol
She doesn’t know about Tackle Warehouse yet though. 😎
