Yes Sir..... I've been doing well at night there with a black 1/2oz spinnerbait.....slow roll it through the grass and pads.
You'll get it fowled up alot, but just rip it out and keep rollin'.

They'll smash the [censored] out of it every now and then.

I'll be there tonight also.

Good luck!

Black buzz bait was the bait of choice last weekend from dusk until 1am, But they were not slamming it. Caught 12 on buzz bait 4 on spinnerbaits and 5 on ole monster worm. Most came from back of coves.

The previous week end it was strickly spinnerbaits.

Look out for boat with blue neon lights the operator does not know navigational rules

If you are talking about the pontoon boat that is docked on the water he buzzed really close to one of my friends at night a few weeks ago, to the point that my buddy yelled at him more than once. Another boater saw the lake patrol at the ramp and complained about him. We were fishing near his dock when he came in really hot. I said to my buddy, "Is he going to hit that dock?" Yes, yes he did. He hit the side of the stall on his own dock so hard that it threw everyone in his boat forward and made a heckuva noise. We were in utter disbelief.

The boat is a pontoon boat. The blue neon lights illuminate the entire side of the boat. He has buzzed us while fishing near the mid lake islands and typically fails to give way when approaching him from the starboard side, and he rarely has his night navigational lights on.

Did Athens get hit by the storm, the lightning kept us from launching at Fork earlier tonight.
Was raining hard all the way to Rockwall, then it quit., temp went from 72 to 87 in about 15 minutes.
When I got back home I checked the weather radar again and it did not show any rain at the lake.

It barely brushed by us. We ended up officially with .04" as it passed by around 8:30 PM. It rained more heavily just to our east.

I was hoping for a bit more; everywhere in Texas could use rain in July.

Fishing has been good, by the way.
