Thank you Whitt Smith!!! - 06/29/18 03:31 AM
Where to start? Ok so I have spent the last 22 years in law enforcement. As part of a fundraiser of a national non profit called concerns of police survivors I asked Whitt Smith to donate a guide trip on Fork. He agreed to do so. The winning bidder on his guide trip was a lady from Oklahoma who happened to be one of the top law enforcement psychologists in the country. Ironically she was the person who helped me learn to process my grief over the loss of several fellow officers in my career.
Well today she and her husband fished with Whitt om lake fork. Whitt could have phoned it in but he went out and worked hard for them and they caught back to back overs, including her fish of nearly ten pounds. This lady donates her time to help guys And gals like me who struggle with losing a friend. She donates her time to help families of fallen officers process their grief. She donated her hard earned money to win this trip in a silent auction. I can’t say thank you enough to Whitt Smith for what he did today for her and her husband. I hope Whitt reads this and posts the pics from the trip as I have them on my phone and not my iPad.
If anyone is looking to hire a guide at fork this summer, not only is Whitt really on the fish right now, but is a stand up guy who gives of his time to help others. I felt compelled to share this story. Hope someone finds value in it.
