its a fun little lake. I grew up fishing it. we did really well fishing 3" smoke pepper grubs under docks, and sassy shads on jigheads.

its been 20 years, i think most of that silted in before we stopped fishing up there. might be worth it if there's a channel running through it where the bass can get in some deeper water for oxygen/temp decrease

put down the trolling motor and start fishing the docks right outside the marina, and around that point to the west. used to do good on several of those.

ive heard rumor of Gary Klien catching some big sacks of fish off a bridge way back years ago. I see a roadbed looking object on the north east side of the lake. might be worth side imaging that area to see if there's an underwater bridge to fish

Tons of brush in the lake.
be careful going up north to the pads very shallow and stumpy.

Lake has Giants in it!
heck 30 of the 32 DD's Hollingshead has caught have come from Weatherford LOL

If you like crappie its and excellent crappie lake too!

not really. the lake looked good two weeks ago.
personally, I would go to Bridgeport instead if you are looking to catch numbers.
you will have a better trip and more stuff to fish. I have fished weatherford my whole life but still find myself going to benbrook or Bridgeport instead.

I can only manage to catch 1 $7 fish it seems lol. And never seen any kind of trees or veg. unless your way up north in 2 ft of water. Many better places to go.

$7 ramp fee btw.

Man I'd love to ride in the back of your boat one day on Worth, gas and a case of beer. Whatever it would take.
