I know it's hot on the lake. Fishing has slowed for me the last few days. I think you gotta look deeper right now

Terrible day for me too. Deep or docks, didn't matter. Can usually get a topwater bite early before sun-up and that didn't even pan out. Got off the lake at 11:00 to avoid wakeboard hell.

Well, I feel better now. My son and I had a rough day also.l. We did decent Friday, today was our typical Conroe day. We caught 5 or 6 total but all under 16”
We stayed until 2, It got rough. I hate Conroe on the summer weekends. I say every time I go on a weekend I’m only going north.

Today was especially bad....there was a wake boat at the dam at 8:30 that made it unsafe to fish.....i saw 2 boats with guys facing the dam get hammered by a wake that should never have been there...and the wind sucked....2-3ft main lake chop sucks.....

Scott’s Ridge was full of wakeboard boats, of course all in the lane everyone was trying to navigate. It was crazy, it’s not likes there’s several safe boat lanes to get through there. I’m sure they wanted to avoid the wind and chop but it was out of hand.
And there is the reason I bought a place at Sam Rayburn.

I fished from daylight to 11 yesterday morning and caught 2. A dink and a 4 1/2. I headed in when I took about a 4 foot wake over the side of my front deck

North side wasn't much better yesterday, I fished from 530-10am and I caught 2 dinks and right when I was leaving (trying to get to the church house on time) I saw some shad popping out of the water and tossed over and pulled out a 4 and a 5 but that shut down quick
Same. Fished all day saturday and broke one off and lost one at the boat early. Not a sniff the rest of the day. And I had a rod go overboard which was a nice addition to the day.

I was there yesterday just driving around exploring the dam area. Beautiful lake!

I fished all day at Trinity for nothing. Out of the other five boats I saw we caught a total of one fish.

My son and I were going to fish the Sunday morning tournament and decided not to at the last minute. Is there info published anywhere on the Sunday morning tournaments at Stow Away?

Just as an FYI to add to this thread. I didn’t catch anything, granted I didn’t fish Conroe, but if I did I would have zeroed.

The easiest thing google conroe bass tournaments and a website has a calendar of the regular events. You can always call stow away too. The guy is super cool and will tell you whats up.
